Each violent word and empty threat is like an injection down my throat. I gasp for air as my tears slowly pull me underwater. I can’t breathe.
Each word I say feels like a gulp of salt water as my lungs filled with more and more water, hanging by a thread and ready to collapse.
I finally reach the surface of not giving up,but water is draining out of each and every crevice of my body. As long as I’m walking on this beach of torture, nothing can save me. This is not paradise.
